Well I after a long week of not blogging (withdrawls), the computer is finally fixed. The tech guy couldnt finish fast enough for me! LOL
We made it back from a week in Idaho. We had a lot of fun visiting our families. We spent the first half of the week with my folks. We spent the 4th of July with them. We pretty much had a boring 4th. Usually in our world the 4th of July is a huge holiday-from sleeping out on University in Provo the night before to save our spot, to watching the runners come in, to boating, playing all night and day. This year was spent with our party pooper grandpa-who was content to do nothing. This was the first year that we did not go to a parade in I dont know in how many years. We went to my Uncles house for a barbeque and litterally cooked ourselves in the heat and then went back home. UMmmm.....can we say we did not do one firework either. Steve took the girls and watched the fireworks by the river but we did not do one together as a fam. Kind of a crazy 4th for us. I at least got to make our traditional homemade ice cream though.
The kids did have a great time playing with their cousins and riding the 4-wheelers. Mikayla thinks that she is the bomb rider! Megan of course kept trying to do all sorts of riding tricks like riding side saddle or hopping while she rode. AND her grandpa had to keep getting after her as he was afraid she would not only kill herself, but kill someone else in the process.
The second half of the week was spent in Rexburg at Steve's house. We all gathered there for his family reunion. It was a fun time. Blake and Jenna and their kids all came from Arizona. We were all excited to see them. We had lots of fun activities planned for the week-and everyone stayed busy.
We all went swimming at Heise Hot Springs (man I havn't been there since I was in HS-brought back lots of memories for me!) Might I mention that the slides are still the same. Infact some things never change.
We had a huge family geo cache. Ev and Kristel did a fabulous job! We quickly found out that grandpa Scoresby was the big adventurer. He was always the first there to find the treasure. Everyone loved it. I was dreaming about it!
We roasted fire pies, ate well, played in the new fort, had family photos, had some tournaments, and did some relays, and did a family service project. I think that everyone had a great time. All of the Fred Scoresby posterity was there. All 29 and a half of us!

Welcome back! Looks like it will be awhile before we go geocaching again. So enjoy it for us :)
Thanks for the excellent reunion Ker. I also like the new layout of your blog...
So glad you're up and running again! Sorry your 4th wasn't as exciting as in years past. Thank heaven for family and homemade ice cream! Glad to have you back.
