My Donny WON!

It was a happy night at my house last night. I am feeling hoarse today from the cheers and screaming and excited tears of Donny's big win last night! I was so happy! I totally would have loved to be there to watch him and Kim win! It has been a fun season for me-seeing him and Kim practice at our studio. I got butterflies every time I knew he was in the room next door. I know, I know, I have been a whooped fan since I was like 8 or maybe younger. My sweet husband lets me drool and go ga-ga over him. He is pretty confident that I wont ever leave him for Donny. LOL. Kim Johnson is the nicest person ever. She has watched several of our kids dance at the studio and Mikayla loves her and thinks she is beautiful. It was a great season! AND Louie! He was awesome! We love our Louie! He did a fabulous job and we cant wait for both of those Utah boys to come back home!
Congratulations Donny and Kim!

Here we go again!

Am I up for it? I guess so! The new dance season has started! The dancer girl is putting in many an hour a day. She is still on the Jr. Company. She seems to love it, alot of her friends are on the teen company, but Mikayla is a little squirt, so she gets to be the leader for the juniors. They competed their first regional meet this past weekend in Ogden. They did great. They only competed two numbers this round. They earned a gold, and a high gold. A first and third overall. It was fun as always. She loved the two day convention and learned a ton.

Here is Kazna, Mikayla and Jocie after they performed 3 strikes. It was their hip hop that took first place.

Yeah Me!

It is official! My tests all came back clean! I have been cancer free for one year! One down, four to go! I am freakin stronger than cancer! My Doc says everything is looking great, and I am healing great, and there is no reason I should not stay cancer free.

Too all my girl friends, readers, family and friends--please remember this:
#1-Check yourself monthly!
#2-If you have any irregularities or suspicions or concerns (and you are related to me) call your Doc!
#3-Have a yearly girly exam!
#4-Have your yearly Mamogram!
#5-If you dont have an Aflac Cancer policy, you should get one! Really! It could save your life. (BTW-I know a great agent :) )

I love you all and do not want to loose any of you to this ugly disease! We all know someone who has had, has or died from cancer, so protect yourself today!

Scouts Like to Serve

I am the Bear Leader for Cub Scouts. It's a lot of fun. Nothing I have ever done before, but Mace comes with me and LOVES it! This past week we did a service project and raked the leaves at the church. We filled at least a dozen bags just in one area. The wind was terrible and kept bringing us more leaves to rake. The boys had a great time raking and jumping.

Our New Nephew

Welcome baby Joshua Evan Scoresby! The 19th Grandchild of Fred and Wanda Scoresby!
Here is the oldest and the youngest! He is a cutie! I think we will claim him! Congrats to Ev and Kristel and little Aleah!

Rock-to-ber

WOW! The month has come and gone, and well, lets just say that I am having a hard time keeping up with life! Here is a little sampling of what this "Rockin" busy month had in-store for the Stephen Scoresby fam.

We went to a Halloween Party at Uncle E-bays house. It was tons of fun to see all of the cousins and Aunties and Unc's all dressed up! Mikayla didnt attend this party with us, as she is much too big too hang with the family, and decided that her friends party was more important. Grandma and Grandpa Scoresby even joined us. Kristel and Ev did a great job! (We missed our Blake and Aunt Nen's fam though. We miss them!)
-Gotta love Steve's mullet and wife beater shirt. Funny thing happened though, on the way home from the party, we got a flat tire, and he had to change the tire with his wig on. I really did try hard not too laugh

We also made carmel apples this year. I have decided, that it is better too not go cheap when making these wonderful, mouthwatering treats. Kayla, Mace and I had a blast making these. Might I suggest that buying the carmel and dipping chocolate at the Bosch store is the best place too go. Oh and dont forget to wash the wax off of the apples. They were divine, and teachers, and friends LOVED them! I think that we will make this a new tradition.

Carving of the pumpkins-yet another fun tradition at most peoples homes. This year was a little different. All of our kids are growing up and thus, they have become very independant. They like to carve and clean their own. Although it is a wonderful thing, it tends too be very very messy. Especially if your name is Mace! As you can see I put a plastic table cloth on the floor and both kids are ontop of the table cloth with knees and arms in goop! Yes, we had to wash the floor, baseboards, and walls. Mikayla on the otherhand opted too not carve her vegtable, as she hates getting her hands dirty!

Late overs-Yes, we do not do sleep overs at our house (unless it is with cousins). Due to the fact that the kids do not sleep well, and come home cranky. But we do do lateovers. Well here is our latest late over this past weekend.
Mikayla was at a party, Mom and Dad were at a party. Mace even went to a party, but came home at nine. Meg had her own little party with her BFF Olivia. We came home at 10:30 to find this on our couches. Now mind you, this is not the first time that these two girls have fallen asleep at their late overs.

Here is Livy-catching a few Zzzzz's. It took me about 3 minutes to wake her. And here is Megs catching her Zzzzz'z. Good thing the house didnt burn down or that there were not any intruders. They would have slept through the entire thing!

And Lastly-HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
This year we let the girls decide what we were going to do for the festivities. Mikayla and Megs decided that we were going to be a family of "Hobo's. It was a riot. All of us but Mace dressed up like homeless people. We celebrated with our friends the Ellis's and Tracy. We built a fire in the fire pit out front, and had taco soup, chili, cornbread, hot cider, hot chocolate and candy for anyone who wanted any. It was so much fun! We of course had fun music playing, and Steve set up a campfire ring for all of our traveling friends and trick or treaters to stop by for some warmth.

I have decided that there is never a dull moment in our lives. And yet, I wouldnt have it any other way.
What a great way too start of the holiday season! Thank you too all of our great friends and to my awesome kids who love too party just as much as their mama! :) (I think Steve likes it too, but he will never admit it!)
