It reminds me that I am glad to have "Hot Flashes", and Insomnia. I only have 11 more screens to go until I can officially be declared in "remission".

Such sweet children

We have been blessed so much with our three children. They are the light in our lives, the bounce in our steps, and the beat of our hearts. We love spending time with each of them. Another blessing that we get to enjoy is the time we get to spend with our birth mothers and their families. Our children love it! They know that they were brought to our family through another mommy. Yet they are all so lucky to have the experience to know both moms in this life. We were able to spend part of this past week with Mason and Megs biological Grandparents and their half brother Logan. We are in "Love" with him, and so are all of the kids.

Here is Kayla with Logan at Chuck e Cheese.

Mace adores his little brother.

Meg is all about babysitting!

We had a great time! Helen bought the girls the most beautiful dresses! We feel extremely blessed.

Macer turns 7

Yes I am a little behind...ok a lot behind. I mean I have not even posted Christmas yet. I think that came before our move, oh and then there was New Years. I think we moved on New Years. Who knows, it all runs together lately.

Our little man turned 7 on the 13th. His new love is freakin BYU football! So he wanted a BYU cake. He loved it, and it was fun to make. He is so cute! Happy Birthday handsome boy! We love you so much!

I am back!

I am happy to say that I am back! Back on the bike. A few weeks ago as we were moving into our new home, my bike came out of hiding (as Steve had to put it where I could not get it over the fall). I just had to sit on it. I miss it. Oh my goodness, I love being a roadie. It has become a passion, a stress reliever, and just plain fun for me. I have made some really great friends. Road biking is the best. I have missed my friends at the gym, I have missed my trainer, I have missed the wind in my face, and the thrill of a great ride. My body has missed it, and has become jello! BUT-I am back in the gym. I am riding 14 miles a day, and climbing steadily. I am hoping to be back up to 20 miles a day by mid February. My goal this year is to ride in three cancer races this year. "Team Preece" here we come! I'm just glad to be back in the saddle.

My first Screening

Well it has now been four months since my surgery. I am feeling great! The only things that I seem to be struggling with now are the hot flashes, (I tease Steve that I am still "Hot" it just comes in Flashes now) and with insomnia. I just really want a night of full sleep! GRRRrrrrrr!

I had my first biopsy/cancer screen this week. I was a little nervous, and of course the crazy thoughts are always going on in the back of your head. My Doc was quite certain that I am doing great and that there will be no cancer. He says I am healing very nicely and that hopefully SOOOOOOONer than later I will be through all of the meno-pause. Now I just need to get back to the gym!

My goal for the year (and for life---is to stay cancer free!) and of course I want to do 3 cancer races this year with "Team Preece". So I gotta get back to the gym!

That darn Mikayla!

Last week I got an invitation to go and watch Mikayla graduate from "Nova". Nova is a state wide program that the sixth graders participate in. There is an officer that comes and teaches them about making great choices as they approach their adolesence. It lasts about 17 weeks and is so great for the kids. Anyways, the kids had to write a constitution for themselves. He picked two essays for the graduation. One from each of the sixth grade classes. They were also awarded with a special award. Mikayla was chosen to present her constitution along with one of her best friends Nathan. She got to read it to everyone. I had NO idea that she was winning this award. I was so surprised when I got there, and then she also won another award as well. It was the "Nova Pack" award. This is where they of their own free will turn off the TV, computers, Video games for one week. They must write about what they did to fill in their time. There were 7 students that earned this award in the sixth grade. That is will power! I didnt have the internet for 10 days and thought I was dying. We are proud of you Mikayla! You are making great choices and becoming an amazing young lady!

Megs birthday!

Double Digits for Megs! She had a birthday on the 8th! Happy Birthday to our little sunshine. We just had a family celebration this year. We went to Panda Express (her fave) and then had cake and ice cream. She was able to have Ashley spend the night and go to the movies on Friday, so she was thrilled.

OK so I am not the best cake decorator-but smiles is what Megs is all about!

We love you little Meggie and Happy 10th Birthday.
