I have had a great time reading all of your funny stories and some of them I have truly laughed out loud! (Thanks Michelle G.) I would love to keep hearing your funnies-especially yours Blake and Jenna!
So now it's time to think about challenge #2. This is for all of you in my family and peeps list-so I will be checking! Feel free to pass the challenge onto your friends as well.

It's Vegas Baby!
Steve and I just returned home from a weekend getaway in Vegas! We had a marvelous time. We have had this planned for several months now, so the anticipation just about killed me. We went with Steve's brother Blake and his wife Jenna. They live in Maricopa Az. So it was even better, because we don't get to see them often.
We left on Friday morning and just kind of mosied along. We got there mid afternoon, and checked in at this dive hotel. It wasnt really that bad, it was just funny for us-because we usually get spoiled in the hotel department when we travel. We stayed at the Arizona Charlies. After an early dinner, we went to see "Ka" and Oh My Gosh, it was incredible. It was worth every penny spent. All four of us were in complete "Ah!" LOVED it! We spent some time on "Freemont" street. Dang bunch of weirdo's there. But hey we still had fun.
Saturday found Jenna a little under the weather, but she snapped out of it thanks to good ol' gatorade. We went to see National Treasure 2 (which both Jen and I thought it was better than the first one). That evening we went to "Phantom of the Opera". So, this was the third time I have seen Phantom, and everytime I saw it, I loved it--but at the Venetian, it ROCKED! It was awesome! The live orchestra just gave us chills. Both Jenna and I got a little emotional when the main Phantom music came on. It was so beautiful.
We walked the strip, visited, laughed, and played good ol' mormon rummy. I won I might add. Oh and I did get to play a round of "BINGO"-as it is one of my favorite things to do. I did not win, but got a good laugh at all of the old ladies that filled the room and shouted "bingo!"
Some of my highlights beyond the show, was the impressions that Blake did. He pretty much has one for everyone in our family. It was hilarious. And did I mention the "Wookie". They must watch a little too much Star Wars at their house. It is hilarious.
Sunday meant saying good-bye. Both Steve and I were sad to leave such a good time. Plans are hopefully being laid for another trip next year. Thanks Blake and Nen! Can't wait to see you and the kiddies in May!

The Funniest Thing---
I'm sure like many, there are a hundred things that have happened to you in your life that make you just laugh out loud! I have many but this one stands out so vividly that even yesterday thinking about it in the shower made me LOL!
(see below- at the previous post and take the challenge)
Two summers ago, an old friend of mines daughter was getting married. She had invited me to come and watch her get her bridal portraits. I'm quite sure she just wanted my comic relief. (haha) Anyhow, it was stinkin hot outside (it was freakin July!), and I am not quite sure how the bride didnt melt. We were in Lehi at some reception center in their gardens. We left the bride with the photographer and we went walking across these grounds in search of the perfect spot.
I'm not quite sure how my friend got ahead of me, but she was talking to me "lalalalala", and I am in my own world not really paying any attention to her. Well I wasn't really watching where I was going either--as I was on a mission for the perfect spot! And "BAM" out of nowhere, I stepped in a hole, and literally fell over like a tree! Face first into the grass. I mean as straight as a "TIMBER!!" falling! It was unreal!
My friend looked around and saw me laying there, (you think she would be sympathetic) and she just laughed at me and asked me what I was doing on the ground. She didnt even offer to help me up! She just wouldnt stop laughing either--imagine that! And to make matters worse, I couldnt find the dumb hole that I stepped in. I know there was one there, for crying out loud my ankle hurt! Anyways, I must have looked like a complete ninny! It was the funniest thing in my mind to see (or picture) this grown woman fall over like a tree.
We must have laughed for a half hour, and whenever we have reminiced, this is one of those side splitting stories-and who knows, maybe you had to be there-but it was sure funny. I am quite sure that if she or her daughter were to ever read this, they too would be in tears remembering me face planted in the grass.

Tag To Everyone!
I read all of the tags on your blogs. It is so much fun to read about you all, and it is fun to hear interesting facts etc. Sometimes I find that it takes me forever to think about everything to respond to on those darn questions. Anyways to get to my point. I occassionally, with my team that I work with will throw them out a weekly challenge. Their challenge might be with art work or with business.
So I had a weird experience yesterday and have been totally irritated at myself that I just didnt let it go and just laugh at the situation. So I thought that instead of "TAG" I would throw out a "weekly challenge" this week! Just take some time to think about it, and then post it at some time. I think that everyone needs a little laughter. I know that I do! And since we all blog-this would be fun for your readers to pass on to their readers as well. PLUS you all know I am a scrap-booker and these darn blogs are our journals-so lets journal it!
Your weekly challenge---Tell about your funniest moment! (there will be alot-but one that sticks out prominently in your mind--NOT embarrassing-but funny) The challenge is on! Each of you just post it on your blog-I will come and read it, and if your name is on the right side of my blog board as "my peeps, or family",this is your challenge! Feel free to drop this challenge to your buddies as well. Laughter is contagious!

Mason and Grandpa
My Dad has been retired for a few years and loves to build things. Two summers ago, he built a gi-normous play house in our backyard for the kids, he built a playhouse at his house for the kids, he redid his basement and made them (the grand-kids) their own little space and bunk room at his house too. This past week he came and put together the bed he built for Mason. Mason is in heaven! He loves it, and my girls are so sad that they don't have a bed like Mace. It has a cubby behind it, that they use as a little fort. Megan has taken up permanent residency (or at least she thinks)there at night. Thanks Grandpa! You are the bomb!
ps...when we move, grandpa will have to come and dis-assemble it!

Science Fair
This year Mikayla and Mason were both required to do the Science Fair at Noah Webster Academy. Megan wasnt required (But that is a whole different story). So the past few weeks we were busily doing science projects. We tested theories and charted and processed. All in all it was a great experience for both kids. I think that they both had a great time, and I am telling myself that I had a great time too. I sometimes feel like I am an elementary student too---over and over and over again. Anyways, Mikayla did her experiment on gases and Mason did an experiment on different substances that clean pennies. Both did a fabulous job. Mason won a ribbon for his Kindergarten class. He was very excited. Great job kidd-o's!

And 1st Place goes too......
"Center Stage Pre-teen Latin Formation Team"!
As posted in the previous post, the insanity has begun! We had to pull the girls out of school on Friday, so that they could prepare for their showcase on Friday evening. The show was LONG but very well done. Center Stage usually has a showcase at the end of the season for the public to come and watch these amazing teams. This year they decided to do a pre-seasoner opener. In my opinion it was a great idea-because it was a chance for them to be onstage with their new pieces before they compete so that they can work the bugs out.
I spent the ENTIRE Friday with dancers! AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I dreamt about giggling girls all night!
Meg had competition #2 yesterday. The AAU Finals. It was fun, of course it is always fun when your team wins, and its always fun to see your kids so happy and proud of themselves.
It was kind of a crazy weekend in our dance world though. One of the boys from our studio Heffa Tuita (HSM 2) just recently signed with "nickelodeon" was being showcased. As Nickelodeon and all of the camera crews were there following and filming. So the kids were all distracted that evening. AND, Ashly Delgrosso (Dancing with the Stars, and former director from Center Stage) was there for the weekend judging the Dance Comp yesterday. The kids were flocking her every chance they got. They totally have missed her-especially Mikayla, who danced for her for a couple of years. So it was fun.
