Girls Camp Here I come! Again!

My very most favorite part of being a young woman was going to girls camp. I LOVED it! We went to Rock Creek Girls Camp in Idaho. I remember my leaders (who became some of my closest friends) and I remember all of the girls. The pranks, the skits, the spirit, the scarry stories and just being in the mountains. It was thrilling too me. I hated to see it end. It didnt end too soon for me, as I have gone to camp for MANY MANY years as a leader, as a stake leader, as a young womens leader, as a regional leader. I have done it all. I love the whole experience. I had actually gone 19 years in a row (minus the summer I got married) since I was 12! Yeah that is how much I love it! I then had a few year sabatical and went for a few years after Mikayla was born. I believe I have been 21 years to girls camp. That would mean in my lifetime that is over 5 months of camping! HOLY COW!

I enjoyed the break but knew as soon as my girls were old enough too go, I wanted to be there. I could not be there last summer with Mikayla as I was still in recovery, BUT I just got called to be our ward camp director for this summer. I am way excited to go! I think it will be a thrill to be with such a large ward and to be with my little sweetie girl.

Shut Up and DANCE!

Yes we are huge dance finatics at our house....At least one of us is, and she is almost 13 and loves anything to do with dance and music. Her director Jessie Thacker is in the Odyysey Dance Company in SLC. We went last night with a bunch of the students from Senior, Teen, and Junior companies to see them dance. Also Natalie Reid and Gev performed as well. Well to put it mildly, it was AMAZING! They did a fabulous job and our kids had a blast!
Might I add, that before the performance we went out to eat and who freakin knew that these dancers could put so much food away. Holy Cow! They can dance and EAT!

We had a great time, and it is so fun to see these kids that spend so much time together, get along so well and love each other. Mikayla is blessed to be around some pretty great kids!

I was really bummed about this photo! The kids were all excited to be dressed up, and I freakin had to take the photo by the window with the glare! Some of the comments of the night were-"Wow" you guys really look great outside of workout clothes! OR my fave by Marquett was -Hey we dont look like hobos!

Here are some of Mikayla's girlfriends from many years of dance.

And here is Mikayla and Jessie after the performance!

We love our dancer and friends!

Happy Spring

Spring has simply got to be my favorite time of the year! I love the newness and the freshness! I love all of the babies and the new buds. I just love it. I am also a huge blog stalker and I love to see what people are doing--especially in the spring around holiday time. Here are a couple of crafts that we have done recently to prepare for Easter. I got them off of be different act normal website. LOVE it!

And here are our cute eggs in the grass.

Watch for our upcoming "Crack off" coming this week with our cousins.

A huge OWIE!

Lately Mikayla (La) has had a few accidents. Accidents that seem a little weird to me-because she is a dancer and she really does seem to have it together and is poised and graceful. Lately she has lacked the grace. She fell down her Aunts stairs and banged her knee up pretty good... Which totally stressed the dancer girl out. Then she was climbing up on the washer to get something and slipped. She landed on the floor with the ironing board ontop of her. I tried not too laugh. So when on Saturday evening the kids announced that they were going on a bike ride I said-"Hey Mikayla be careful that you dont fall off your bike"..I think it kind of ticked her off. Sorry La. Anyways about 5 minutes later screaming errupted in our house. BUT it was not La it was the middle kid. She had blood streaming everywhere. She had hit a crack in the road going full force and flipped over the top of her scooter. Yeah nice I know. She really looked like the road got the best of her. Especially the teeth. Chipped both teeth as well. Darn it Meg! Her poor little face was swollen and her nose and lips were scraped up. Shanked up her knee pretty good too. On Sunday we were able to get her teeth fixed. Thanks to Dr. Dave.

Here is the wounded
Here she is with fixed teeth and a bandage across her nose.

I'm back!

Yes after a LONG break from blogging, I am back. The real story is this-My home computer crashed and so I was resorted to our many laptops, and yeah well it was a pain, so now I have a new home computer and I have all of my stuff reset back up-and so here I am once a again back on the blogging wagon.

We have maintained business since January 1st-We had two birthdays.

Megs turned 11~ It seems like yesterday when we were snuggling that cute little black hair black eyed baby. She is turning into a beautiful young lady. She wanted an ipod cake. Yes that is my attempt!

Next Mason had his big birthday. Birthday #8!

He was baptized in January by his Daddy-o!

It was a special day for him, his grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles and friends all joined us for his big day.

La-has been busily training, practicing, and rehearsing for her very first dance solo. She performed it at our company showcase and did fabulous. And this past weekend competed it for the first time at a competition. She got a high gold and first place! She was excited and happy. Of course we were thrilled and proud of her. It is fun to see her succeed in something she loves.
