Can we say WOW!

I have to put a shout of praise out to our Mikayla! She is an amazing girl! We went to "Nuvo" this past weekend. It is a dance competition in Salt Lake. Center Stage did an "AWESOME" job. They pretty much swept the competition. We even had 3 numbers (out of 4) that got to perform at the closing awards. It was amazing. Mikayla got a $250 scholarship for Outstanding Dancer in the Jazz catagory. She worked hard and loved it!
We spent Friday night at the Radison and had a great time. Here is a photo of Mikayla and two of her closest buddies Emilee and Jill.

We laughed all night! There was even a point we couldnt get Em off the floor she was laughing so hard.
We were excited to have Grandpa and Grandma Scoresby come and watch the comp.
The kids did a spectacular job on their last dance "I'm alive". It was extra special as they dedicated it to Hefa Tuita who just recently passed away. He is the father of three of our dancers from Center Stage. It was amazing.

We came home late Saturday night, and spent all day cramming for the spelling Bee. Mikayla won her class spelling B last week and had to compete yesterday for the school spelling B.

It was very nerve racking for the momma bear. Steve was calm cool and collected, but our smarty pants daughter (who only wanted to make it through round one-to beat the third graders) WON the freakin spelling B!

She will now study for the next few months and represent her school at the regional/state wide comp in February!
Good Job Mikayla! We are proud of you! We love you sista! You rock!

That's awesome for her! You gotta love the fact that she wasn't pushing herself, and still came out #1. Just think of what happens when she really pushes herself!
