Mace Turns 9

Time/Life has just flown by! Where has my baby gone? This is our last year of single digits for birthdays! I am still dumbfounded! Although kids are hard, I wouldnt trade it for the world. I love my kids! I love my boy! Mace is a good boy! He is 100% boy, and I would love to have just a little smidge of his energy. He tends to drive me crazy because he never sits still. When he does sit still, its because he is sick.
I didnt know what kind of cake to make him this year, and he could not give me any suggestions. So I just followed suit to Megs. He became a bear scout this year on his birthday so a Bear cake is what he got.

He is a natural Pyro- so we let him light the candles. He was so excited to light it, that he didnt know that I only put 8 candles on his cake. Bwahhahahaha..Hey I ran out of candles and I didnt want to go to the store again.

I still havnt told him. LOL! You would think he would have counted his own candles, right?
We hope his wishes come true!

For his birthday (did I mention that I hate January birthdays! They are too close to Christmas! Then you have to wait a whole year to get gifts again....It's a bummer) we got him another WII game. He loves his Wii. A new football (he lost his at school), legos, and a pogo stick. A pogo stick you ask? Well of course I questioned Stevie wonder buns about it-but he assured me Mace would love it. AND guess what he and Megs have been on it non stop now for a week! OMG it was a hit above and over the Wii games and all of the cash he recieved. It was the perfect gift for an energetic, bouncy boy!

I love my Mace! Because it was his birthday he was the "Super Star Student" of the week and he got to tell all of the fabulous stuff about himself to all of his classmates-
*He loves BYU football
*He loves spending time with Dad
*He loves his pet PEZ
*He loves Beans
*He loves to swim, and play ball
*He loves to go to Grandma's house and ride 4 wheelers
*He loves the i-pad
*He loves the color Blue
*He gives the best hugs.
Happy 9th birthday to my son! I lOVE YOU!

Pine Wood Derby

This was Mason's first year to do the "Pine Wood Derby" for cub scouts. He has been looking forward to it for an entire year. Steve has NOT been looking forward to it, because it means that he has to actually carve out a car and do something artsy fartsy that he hates doing. He has tried numerous times to get out of the task. I mean come on, I helped the little dude get his wolf and all of his arrow points etc. I earned those awards right along with him. The least he could do is help do the dang car. Well he tried to get his dad to send him one of his old ones. His Dad laughed. I laughed too. He just stared at that hunk of wood- and continued to put it off. Three days-yes three days before the event Steve found a pinewood car kit at Hobby Lobby that was already cut out. He was saved! All he freakin had to do was help Mace sand and paint. The cheater pants! Mace didnt care, all he cared about was spending time with Dad and racing the car.
And race they did. Mace had a great time.

The finished car.
Driver Macer the Racer

The contenders.
Stay tuned, as we will find out the results of the fastest car next month.
Phew glad that one is over.

Boys Mean lots of Business!

Over the holidays Mason has discovered his carpentry abilities. Infact he is quite serious about them. Did you know that you can sign up for Saturday classes at Lowes on Saturdays to do fun projects. Here is our Mace into his train making project.

Entering a New Year

As this New Year began I have been thinking of the last 10 years of the century and how fast it has gone. My kids are growing like weeds, Steve and I just get a little older, fatter and crazier. I am grateful for each of my blessings and trials. For they make us who we are. Ten years ago 1999 New Years Eve we sat around Suz' s house putting stuff into a time capsule. It was totally cool. I think Mike has it, anyways, I remember writing letters to each of my kids (Mikayla and Megs) and for Steve. I think I need to write one to Mace. (I wonder if Mike will ever open that for us). Anyways I do remember we put reciepts of gas and groceries and newspapers in it. Pretty cool. Well it has been ten years and I hope that the next 10 slow down just a little. I want to enjoy my kids, and Hub and family and friends.

I love these girls. Barb and Suz! Even though they are my sister in laws, I have known them their entire lives and they have been a big part of mine. I cant imagine life without them. LOVE them! Happy New Years Sisters!

I love this guy too. Even if his Kareoke is not always on key. He makes us laugh, He makes a smile, He makes us happy! Happy New Years Steve! We all love you!

I kind of like this girl too. She makes me happy. She is talented, pretty, smart and she is amazing. Happy New Years La!

I also really like this girl too. She is beautiful, and talented. She likes to be where the party is, and she likes to be the party. Love you Megs. Happy New Year.

This little guy here is not so little anymore. He comes with lots of snips and snails and puppy dog tails. He loves to run and play and drive us all nuts. But if he didnt do that, he wouldnt be Mace. Happy New Years to you too little man.
Many many people have influenced our lives. Many come and go, and many stay. We love each of our family members, each of our friends and each other. May the Lord watch over us and bless us in 2011.

Happy New Year! 2011

My blog has been neglected. There is only one reason why. My camera got broken over the summer. I have not been able to take photos. Thus keeping my from journaling the exciting life of the Scoresby's. I had to wait for the man in the jolly red suit to bring me my wish. A new camera! Yeah and I am sporting a new one. I LOVE IT. So bring on the blogging.
I pulled out the card of my old camera and here are a few of the shots that were found from my last photo taking moments.

Poor Baby Garrett. I think that he has had way too much of the 4th of July festivities.

Love this girl! Ashley

O my! What is Uncle Mike doing? Or dreaming about or something.

Uncle Blake--really? Thats a little scarry!

Now that is just plain cuteness!

So, I am glad I am back. It will be a regular thing, so stay posted.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
