Fete 2011

Yes it is again time for our "Fete" celebration. This was our 3rd annual Fete day. As a re-cap 4 years ago, our friends the Caziers introduced us to a Holiday called Fete. It has become a favorite family tradition.

A little background about Fete. Fete means to celebrate. August is the only month on the calendar year that does not have a holiday. So the Caziers made up "Fete". We love it. Rules of Fete (as I know them-but if you start Fete, you can make up your own rules): Can be any day in August, a color is chosen to center Fete around, and you can do any activity you want.

This is "Fete 2011"-
It was held August 27th
Our color this year was ORANGE.
We invited our Scoresby cousins.

We went bowling at Fat Cats!
The kids had a super uber fun time!

Even the adults had a blast!

Garrett was the BEST bowler!

We then went back to our house and had a BBQ. We had orange soda, orange salads, orange chips, orange desserts, and hot dogs and hamburgers. It was yummy!

We had water balloon toss's with-yep, orange water balloons.
We played Minute to Win it and the Team "Orange Creamcicles" Won!

Team Creamcicles won Reeses peanutbutter cups.
Team Fabulous Fete Fighters were at a close 2nd winning Fruit snacks for next years energy.
Team Tigers took 3rd winning orange airheads.
The guessing jars were won by La and Ri.
Our King and Queen of Fete were voted upon and presented with a crown-Miss Cadie Scoresby, and Mister Mason Scoresby. They were showered with gifts and with silly string.

We ended the night with our orange gift exchange. Lots of fun gifts given and recieved.
Fete 2011 was a success! Thank you Scoresby family for the Best Fete yet!

It was a fun party! But I was thinking, having Congress in recess during August should be a national holiday all month! At lease they aren't messing up the country all the time!
