Really? I am a slacker- part two!

The holidays are suppose to be relaxing! How many of Megs concerts did we go too? It seems like 20 but I think it was 11 or 12. It was great though. She loves it and did very well for her first experience singing and dancing.

We enjoyed an afternoon at Color Me Mine... a new tradition that we love! Mace was ecstatic that he got to go this time. He made a very colorful Christmas Tree Plate that sported- "Go BYU"! Yes he is truly his fathers son.

Baking got put off until the week before, but my girls loved dipping chocolates and making goodies. Megs is a natural in the kitchen. Mikayla-well yeah, she needs a little help.

We were able to pull off our annual Christmas party. We had some of our good buddies and family members join us for a little christmas cheer. Note to self--Do not play the Santa's Beard Game. No one really liked vaseline and cotton balls on their faces.

The Traditional Scoresby Family Home Evening came off without a hitch. This was Dad and Mom Scoresby's first year since they were married that they were going to be home alone. Lucky for us, they were able to join us for our Family Night. Everyone was here except Blake and Jenna and kids. We totally miss them, especially at the holidays. It was fun playing games, telling stories, decorating cookies, singing and being together. Steve has a great family. We are blessed to have so many of them here near us.
Um yeah-I tried the santa game with the kids too-Make another note to self that kids hate it just as much as adults.

Hey I thought it was fun!

Christmas Eve was a different one for us. In the past we have always gone out to our best friends the Ereksons and celebrated, and the past 2 years I have been with my family as it has been hard since my uncle passed away. But this year (Mace was not totally over a bug) we spent it at home with just our family, and it was FUN. I think we will do it again. We ate a fabo dinner, and sang songs, watched the video of Luke 2 and played games all night.
Grandma Preece always makes the grandkids jammies. They love them!

Here is Megs and Mace spreading oats for Santa's reindeer. I am sure that Santa found our house.

Let the games begin!
Our Christmas was Merry, and we are very blessed. We love our family, our friends, the gospel and each other.

The Holidays can now begin!

Actually, our holidays have begun-BUT I have been so busy that I have not really gotten things ready! BUT I am done working for the rest of the month with CTMH so I can settle down and enjoy the fam, the parties and the festivities.

Dugan our cute little elf brought our Christmas package right on time December 1st. The kids love doing the activities each day and both Steve and I actually LOVE spending the time everyday with them.

I havnt gotten a lot of photos of the festivities, but here is the run down for the first two weeks. I have decided that the best gift you can give is the gift of time. Especially to your kids.
December 1st- We got our package.
December 2nd- We wrote a letter to Santa.
December 3rd- We made gingerbread men.

December 4th- We went to the festival of Trees. I took the kids out of school and we went and watched Meg perform with her singing group, but we also had a blast looking at the trees, and playing in the kids area. Here are my cute little ones having a blast in the bubble machine.

December 5th We celebrated St. Nickolas Day. The kids stuck their shoes out by their bedroom doors, and the next morning they recieved their shoes full of goodies. They love this day.
December 6th- We played games with our friends. Spoons and pit was the favorite!
December 7th- We started a new Christmas puzzle. This year I bought an Eric Dowdle hometown Christmas puzzle. The fam loved it, and had it put together in 3 days, and have started a new one.
December 8th We went to the mall to visit Santa (and watch Meg sing too). Mikayla was mortified that I made her sit on Santa's lap. I informed her that as long as she lived at home that there would be a photo of that year on the mantle of her on Santas lap. I got a big Grrrr.

December 9th-Make and deliver some cookies to neighbors. BUT we ended up eating them all.
December 10th- Was our pizza night under the tree. Steve is the bomb daddy when it comes to the pizza. Kids love this night!
December 11th-It was an early out day for Megs and Mace, so I checked Mikayla out early and we went to "Color Me Mine" to paint Christmas plates. It was fun. Mason loved getting the chance to finally go. I had to give him the pre-activity talking too because I didnt want to have to pay for any broken ceramics. He did great.
December 12th- We went to our ward Christmas Party.
December 13th-today we celebrated St. Lucia day. We made sweet bread in a braid. It was pretty chill for the day.

The Christmas cards are out, the traditional ornaments for the friends and neighbors were just finished today-so bring on the shopping and the parties!
