Dinner with da sista's

We had a super fun time at dinner on Friday night.  All of the sisters and sister in laws, and Mama (minus Aunt Nen)- got together and went to PF Changs to celebrate Suzie and Amber turning 40.  It twas fun!  Lots of laughter, and giggles.  Good to get away from the kiddos and have some girl time.  It was much needed.  Thanks Barb for the great organizational skills.

Peter Pan

Marquet Hill, Landon Anderson, Ruger Memmott, Zoey Anderson, Mikayla and Jenna Johnson

Every year Center Stage does a full lengthe ballet.  This year they did "Peter Pan".  It was beautifully done, and all of the students LOVED it.  It has been a super busy spring for our kids.  But hey this ballet was totally worth it.  Mikayla was a mermaid.   She was super glad too because Grandma and Grandpa Scoresby came and watched her perform.
Mikayla and Janalyn Memmott (Mikayla's director) and Emilee Clark

Spring In Utah

Spring in Utah is always unpredictable. We had an unusually long winter this year. Spring is one of my favorite times of the year here-Its amazingly beautiful and breathtaking--until you wake up to this-
Look at those beautiful buds! All covered in snow!
Oh well I guess we got to enjoy hot chocolate a little longer.

Fantastic February

Brings more fun travels for us...

Mikayla and I flew to Denver with Center Stage Junior company. They did the NYCDA convention there and qualified more of their numbers for Nationals. Night of the Dancing flame recieved a platinum award and Critics Choice award for New York. It was worth the trip! Then kids were happy, the directors were thrilled and the parents were proud.
They qualified all of their pieces and did a fabulous job.

Heidi Thornhill and I took 9 kids with us. It was FUN! We all flew together, ate together, and roomed together. We did have a crazy flight out. At one point we thought the plane was going to roll because the turbulance and wind was so bad. It felt like we were on a roller coaster. Heidi's red wine went flying all over the place. Good times.

When Dad is away...

Mason gets to play. Yep, our Dad went to Vegas for a business trip this last month. The kidd-os wanted to grill some chicken, and Mason took over Steve-o's job. He watches his Dad grill all the time, and now was a perfect time for him to slip into his Dads shoes. He did a great job I might add.

Yeah Its back to school time!

Im not gonna lie, this summer has been a difficult one. Dont get me wrong, its been fun and we have done a LOT of fun things. It has been hard juggling mine and Steves schedules so that these two do not have to be at home alone too much!

They have a LOVE/HATE relationship. They get a long when they want and the fight like cats and dogs most of the time. So yeah-school is back in session.
Megs went to Junior High for the first time this past week. She is our socialite. She didnt even need me at her back to school night. She saw her friends and left me and Mikayla in the dust. I am glad that Mikayla likes having me around. We are a little freaked out that she is in Junior High-but are hopeful that she will have a successful/fun experience. She loves not wearing uniforms anymore, and she loves that she can have a choice for lunch, not to mention lockers, friends and BOYS!

Mace is my only Elementary kid. We love his teacher and feel that he got the BEST 4th grade teacher in the school. He is excited to be back into the swing of things.

La-well I didnt get a photo of her because on back to school day she didnt have to go-so I was negligent. She is a Freshman! Where does the time go? Really? a Freshman! She was excited to be back with her friends, and laugh and giggle and hang out with all of her besties. She likes being the oldest in the school and calling her sister a "sevy". She loves seminary and loves to learn. So yeah, the mommy is happy we are back to a routine.
